Dr Janice Osgood is a counselling psychologist and integrative psychotherapist. She has over ten years’ clinical experience working in various settings, including general counselling agencies and those dedicated to supporting people with cancer, their carers, and bereaved people.
Central to Janice’s approach is the therapeutic relationship, built in co-operation with each unique individual to form a safe space where any concerns can be worked through together. She engages fully with each person through reflective listening to facilitate a creative process leading to greater clarity, more informed decision-making, and forward momentum. Her clients come with a range of concerns: loss, anxiety, stress, issues related to self-esteem, and relational struggles. She also sees people who are experiencing dissatisfaction with their life who may not be able to articulate exactly what feels amiss.
Janice started her career in psychology as a researcher studying quality of life and completed an intensive doctoral training in counselling psychology and psychotherapy. She has extensive experience of counselling in the cancer context and an abiding interest in supporting people affected by cancer.
