Ruji is a fully qualified and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, specialising in evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of Depression and Anxiety Disorders, with a special interest in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Ruji has over 10 years’ experience studying and working in the field of Psychology, Mental Health, CBT and Addiction Psychiatry. She has worked for the NHS for most of her career, in multiple settings; alongside highly experienced professionals and specialists in the field.

Ruji has a BSc (hons) degree in Psychology, an MSc degree in Clinical and Public Health Aspects of Addiction from the Institute of Psychiatry at Kings College London and the Maudsley Hospital; a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT from the University of Surrey and a Postgraduate Diploma in Low Intensity CBT from University College London.

Ruji offers specialist CBT treatment for OCD and also provides CBT for a number of other difficulties including panic attacks, low self-esteem, generalised anxiety (worry), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and social anxiety to name a few.

She provides Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for the treatment of OCD, which forms part of the behavioural approach of CBT treatment. As well as a mental health professional, Ruji is also an OCD survivor, with lived experience of severe and complex OCD. The therapy that she provides is unique – combining the knowledge and understanding of a mental health professional with that of an OCD sufferer.

She provides a warm and safe environment, where clients can feel able to open up about their difficulties, without feeling judged. Ruji is also involved in raising awareness of mental health problems and treatment, and would like to encourage referrals from clients of all backgrounds. She individualises therapy in accordance with each client’s needs and goals.

Ruji practices CBT at The Westlake Clinic, 7 Harley Street, London, W1G 9QD.
